Working on an animation about legislative theater and these are my WIPs so far. I had a chance to experience it in practice at the local climate change network meet and it sounds very interesting.
It came from the streets and council chambers of Rio De Janerio where every person is given tools to become a policymaker. It’s a very creative, cooperative way to engage with problems and find solutions together.
So far these are some scene ideas, BGs and comps:
Scene overview: Idea is to show council chambers being far away from climate disasters that affect their neighbourhoods-here a cyclone. Scene building: Showing people collectively walking towards the council chambers to confront. The stairs need to be more comically extended Image theater, Chair game: Games that play on the dynamic between an oppressor and one who is being oppressed by their actions. Here someone is prevented from sitting on an empty chairTreatment: I will be using printmaking with animation, instead of a chair perhaps floral motifs that play with shape (large/small) and people teetering over them to find a stable spot for themselves
