I am currently working on two childrens’ book projects exploring printmaking with Lego (dupes) and a hole puncher- one is to show architecture, and one is about textiles.

A page in progress from The Little Gogalgai by Devashish Makhija, going to be published by Pratham Books, AD: Canato Jimo

One of the methods I am working with is grisaille – a method of underpainting, which is the monochromatic version of a painting before final layer of colour is added. It is the simplest form of underpainting and helps me work with the tonal nature of colour digitally, and saves me on printmaking inks! I am also using the very basic CMYK palette in layers and building up the illustrations. My palette is the same in both.
Lego used to have a series called DOTS that became a printmaking craze but it is currently discontinued. You can find similar kind of tiles online
