The Importance of Road Verges in a Changing World- Liana Knipe Published by Current Conservation

Road verges are ground cover around roads and pavements. Many verges are still shaved down to the roots before they can bloom. Others are trampled, parked on, sprayed. Some councils are beginning to see the value of places like verges. Cutting less, letting things grow, letting things live.

Process:

I rambled along the local Links and collected flora for this project. Not technically a nature print (which by the definition of its 18th century inventor Alois Auer, a type of electrotyping process) but a gelatin impression of my collection.
